Pale Blue has been selected as UTokyo IPC’s Incubation Support

Pale Blue has been selected by the University of Tokyo’s Collaborative Innovation Platform (UTokyo IPC) for the “UTokyo IPC 1st Round,” a consortium-based incubation program that has been running since 2019 in collaboration with leading companies in various industries, including East Japan Railway Company (JR East Startup Co., Ltd.), Fuyo General Lease Co. Ltd., Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance, Mitsui Fudosan, Mitsubishi Heavy Industry.

In order to expand the market for small satellites, a propulsion system is essential to actively move small satellites in space. However, large satellite propulsion systems use high-pressure gas or toxic substances as propellants, which are difficult to apply to small satellites due to their volume, weight and cost. Pale Blue has been conducting research at the University of Tokyo to develop safe, non-toxic, and easy-handling water-based small satellite propulsion technology, and to implement it into society, thereby expanding the market for small satellites and achieving sustainable space development. With the support of this program, we will establish a corporation and develop our business.
