On July 22, 2026, a delegation from National Research and Development Agency Council of MEXT, Japan Science and Technology Agency Sub‐Committee and the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) visited the headquarters of Pale Blue Inc. Pale Blue was founded with entrepreneurial support from JST’s “Program for Creating STart-ups from Advanced Research and Technology (START).” During the visit, Nakagawa, Co-founder and Director of Pale Blue, presented the company’s journey from the selection for the START program to its incorporation as well as its current global operations in propulsion systems for small satellites. The visit featured an active and insightful Q&A session covering a wide range of topics, from R&D and social implementation of technology in university-launched startups to the establishment of mass production systems. The event concluded as a highly meaningful exchange of views aimed at fostering the future growth of Japan’s space industry and startup ecosystem.
